Blog, Cardio, Changing the Game, Giving Blood -

When I started working with Coach @johnnysebastian a week ago to optimize this unexpected transition to an extended off-season, he was adamant that I start donating blood regularly. Despite having been in the bodybuilding game for several years, I can’t honestly say that I fully understood the importance, or even the relevance, of donating blood. I’ve always been intellectually curious (or a nerd, if you want to be a dick about it...lol), and I consider myself a student of the game, so I started doing some research. Here’s the broad strokes of what I learned (specific to general health, not...

Hey Everyone, "Time Under Tension" is a time-proven, bodybuilding/powerlifting specific training style that can be utilized while lifting. The basic theory is that muscles need to be engaged for a longer period of time than what we're typically giving them through our traditional reps and sets. Hey Everyone, We get asked all the time what the best way to lose weight is. At BLP, we don't recommend anyone try to hit a certain weight, unless it's for a sport weigh-in, that's the obvious exception to this rule. We instead want everyone to lose FAT. Large amounts of fat don't serve any purpose on the human body. Our ability to put on fat the way we do developed evolutionarily so that our bodies would have a source of fuel over long winters when food was scarce. With modern access and technology, there's no reason why anyone should...

Hey Everyone, In our last Training Room post we talked about the history of our company and some of the underlying principles behind it. This time we'll walk you guys through our first product, Crusade preworkout. We started developing Crusade years before we started a company and it ended up being our main motivation for founding the company in the first place. We were all active duty military guys (most of us still are) and needed a product that stood up to other products while giving us what we needed for grueling training cycles and deployments. Other products in the...
